About Us

Our History

The Connecticut Milk Promotion Board, administered by the Connecticut Department of Agriculture, was established in 2008. 

The board consists of nine appointed members and is charged with developing, coordinating and implementing promotional, research and other programs designed to promote Connecticut dairy farms and milk consumption.

This program is one more way to sustain a vibrant dairy community and champion the work of Connecticut’s dairy farm families and the nutritious foods they produce. Funded projects will be eligible for grant funds of up to $1,500 annually to improve public perception of dairy farming and/or increase consumption of local dairy products.  

The application is due on April 17 by 5:00 p.m.

•Review  the 2020–2025 B-24 Dietary Guidelines for Americans

•Assess  U.S. children’s current food, beverage and nutrient intakes compared to the Guidelines, utilizing data from the Feeding Infants and Toddlers Study (FITS)

•Discuss practical approaches to advise parents and caregivers on key topics, such as   starting solids, early allergen introduction, building a diverse dietary   pattern, and the importance of healthy beverage choices

  The Fuel Up to Play 60 grant application is open for the 2021-2022 school year. Don’t miss out on this annual opportunity for funding up to $4,000 per school from Connecticut Dairy Farmers to help jump start your sustainable Fuel Up to Play 60 healthy eating and physical activity projects.
